UNC Charlotte students and Professor Nhora Saxon share coffee and cultural connections

UNC Charlotte’s Center for the Study of the New South and Center for Professional and Applied Ethics, in partnership with the Stan Greenspon Center for Peace and Social Justice at Queens University of Charlotte, sponsor the Community Cultural Coffeehouse series held at 3rd Space at Caldwell Presbyterian Church on East 5th Street in Charlotte.  Recently, Professor Nhora Saxon, along with students in her Spanish class, "'Service Learning in The Hispanic Community," attended the first event in this series.  The focus for the first coffehouse was "Dreamers…Undocumented Youth Raised in the U.S."

The next coffeehouse will be held on February 9, 2017, with the focus "'Being Muslim in America," and is open to the community.   For more details, visit Community Cultural Coffeehouse Looks at Growing Up as a Muslim Immigrant
