Beate Dornburg is an instructor for German language classes at the elementary level. She is a native speaker, born and raised in Germany. She graduated from the University of Leipzig, Germany, with a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) and from Goethe University of Frankfurt, Germany, with a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Clinical and Educational Psychology. In the course of her career, she shifted her focus to teaching German language and culture. Improving cultural awareness and language skills in order to learn how to behave and communicate effectively in cross cultural situations is one of her goals she is very passionate about, both as a language instructor and intercultural coach. She has been living in the area of Charlotte since 2011. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and exploring the world, hiking in North Carolina’s beautiful mountains as well as relaxing at its equally beautiful beaches.
